Sign up and onboarding

Create your restaurant, import your products and publish your first menu.

This guide is for restaurant, café, bar, bakery and food truck owners setting up Menyu for the first time.

Create your account

Open the login page. Create an account or sign in with your existing account. After signing in, start the onboarding flow.

Describe your restaurant

Choose your establishment type, menu size and main goal. You can publish a digital menu, accept orders, manage reservations or use marketing tools.

Select the languages you want to offer. Your establishment type, main goal and at least one language are needed to continue.

Use Continue to move forward and Back to review an earlier step.

Import your menu

Photo or PDF

Upload an image or PDF of your menu. The importer analyses the document, extracts the products and prices, and groups them into categories.

Review the extracted categories and products before accepting the import. If the result needs work, try a clearer photo or upload another file. Check every price and product description before publishing.

Some documents also contain your restaurant's contact information. The onboarding flow may use this to prefill the next step; review it before saving.

CSV or spreadsheet

Download the CSV template from the import screen, fill it with your products and upload the file.

Map your columns to the fields expected by the importer. Product names and prices are essential. You can also provide descriptions, categories, allergens, tags and image URLs.

For existing French CSV templates, retain the column names shown in the template, such as nom, prix, description, categorie, allergenes, tags and image, or map your English columns in the import screen. Follow the limits shown by the uploader.

Enter products manually

Choose manual entry to add your own products and categories. You can continue adding products from the dashboard after onboarding.

Enter your restaurant details

Check the restaurant name, address and phone number. Choose your public menu address and complete any other fields shown in the form.

Review prefilled information from an imported document. The address and contact details should belong to your establishment.

Review and publish

Review your products, categories, prices and menu appearance. Publish the menu when it is ready, then share its public address or QR code with your customers.

The dashboard lets you edit products and update your menu later. Check the public menu after publishing, including each language offered to customers.

If something goes wrong

  • If an upload fails, check the accepted format and size shown in the uploader.
  • If text extraction is inaccurate, use a sharper image with even lighting.
  • If CSV fields are missing, review the column mapping and required values.
  • If your public address is unavailable, choose another address.
